Halloween in Prague – What’s On

Halloween in Prague – What’s On

In our humble opinion, Halloween is a great time to visit Prague and Sir Toby's. Just please don't try to trick-or-treat our neighbors - we have some much better suggestions on how to spend your evening!

1. The Party: Bloody Sexy Halloween @ Forum Karlin

Bloody Sexy was founded in 2009 by Jack Danini Productions,  Student Zone, and Prague Never Sleeps. It Is the largest Halloween event in the Czech Republic with over 5,000 people attending each year. Bringing you a selection of the top local and international DJs, this is just the right event for people who like big & glamorous parties. They encourage you to go crazy with your costumes this year by giving you a chance to win 20,000 CZK in cash and over 50,000 CZK in prizes.

Where? Forum Karlín, Pernerova 51, 186 00, Praha 8.

2. The Walk: Official Prague Halloween Walk @ Wenceslas Square

A flashmob-costume-walk through the center of Prague. Meetingpoint is at Wenceslas Square, right under the Wenceslas monument close to the National Museum. Be there at 20.00! Afterparty will be at Chapeau Rouge, Jakubská 2, Praha 1.

3. The Run: Zombie Run @ Vítkov

Well, this looks interesting. For people who like Zombies. And for people who like to run. It is a 5km run where you will apparently occasionally encounter Zombies - and you will also have to cross a "tunnel of fear". Starts at 17.30 on the atmospheric Vítkov hill, a huge concrete plateau with great city views. Website is Czech only, but might be fun to go there and check it out anyway. I think, I will!

Where? U Památníku 1900, 130 00 Praha 3

4. The Play: Dracula: The Journal of Jonathan Harker @ Kolowrat Theatre

"Experience the celebrated gothic scream-fest in a one-man tour-de-force that uses Stoker’s original text of journal entries, letters, and newspaper clippings. Jam-packed with plenty of thrills and chills, Dracula’s spellbinding originality and inventive theatricality is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat, while remaining true to the core of a legendary story that launched a thousand teeth Jared Doreck stars in this intense 90 minute one man show." - says the English speaking theater group Prague Shakespeare Company. Show starts at 20.00.

Where? Divadlo Kolowrat, Ovocný trh 579/6, Praha 1

5. The Underground Venue: Halloween Party @ Radlická

Looks a bit like a haunted house, doesn't it? Well, they have done some renovation works since they took the picture. But the charm is still the same. Radlická is a  nice, alternative venue a bit out of the way in a rather industrial part of the city, but certainly worth a trip if you call yourself an urban explorer... They promise some "underground laser tag" games and also encourage you to dress up for the occasion.

Where? Za Ženskými domovy 125/5, Praha 5 (close to the Anděl metro stop)

6. In Our Hood: Dubsteblog @ Cross Club

Some people might say that every night looks like Halloween in our dear Cross Club. Might be the ever moving steel and light installations, the general rabbit-hole-feel or even the looks of people who spent too much time in there. Some hate it, some love it. We at Sir Toby's are definitely more on the Cross lovin' side! Anyway, October 31 will be dedicated to Dubstep, but be prepared for anything.

Where? Plynární 1096/23, 170 00 Praha 7 (a 10 minutes walk from Sir Toby's!)

If you still haven't found what you are looking for, just stop by the reception, we will surely have a few more hints up our sleeves...
